NCGA: Bob notified the NCGA of the 2008 officers. He is including Dave’s name as the new Treasurer.

The yearly meeting of the NCGA will be held at Castlewood, again, with golf after. Bob may attend.

The NCGA will rerate the men’s tees on 9/17. 8-12 raters will be on hand. They expect participation from both the Club and the course management. Bob will attend on behalf of the Club. There will be an initial discussion of the course, over coffee and snacks, followed by a round of golf and lunch. The Club will pick up the food tab and carts. The pro shop will pick up the greens fees.

Membership: No Report.

Tournaments: The rest of the meeting was devoted to a discussion on the upcoming Club Championship tournament, with the bulk of the talk centering on the scratch flight, which will have 6 players. The rest of the field will be divided into flights of 8. The scratch flight will have an elimination stroke play round on the 1st Saturday to determine the top 4, who would then have their match play semi final on Sunday with the final round on the following Saturday. The rest of the field’s play will also be conducted over the 3 days, playing match on all days.

It was suggested that the Board review and analyze the 1st year’s results of having a scratch flight in the tournaments, in case there’s a need for adjustment for the 2nd year.
