  Meeting 12/03/05

 

 

Present: John Christenson, Gary Davis, Jim Gordon, Vic Shellenberg, Bob Andrews, Ralph Thomas & Wayne Thompson

 

Absent: Stu Diamond, George Elbert, Steve Orlick, Steve Pasadis & Mike Duggan

 

Call to Order: 7:14 AM by Vic

 

Minutes: Were read and approved.

 

Treasurer’s Report: Since George was absent and no report was given, it was assumed that the finances were in fairly good shape, given that we are receiving 2006 dues and don’t have much outlay this time of year.

 

Publicity: The stuffing party will be moved to Ralph’s house, due to Steve’s unfortunate accident. Everyone on the Board wishes him well and a speedy rehab.

 

NCGA: Steve O tendered his resignation from the Board in a letter, which, unfortunately, was not present at the meeting. This turn was met with some opposition. Bob A will meet with Steve after he reads the letter.

Gary will stay on top of the deadline dates for the NCGA events this year; he doesn’t have the deadlines, as yet.

 

Membership: We are back up to around 475

 

Tournaments: The Ham Shoot is up for next Saturday. The certificates are already in hand. There will be tee times from 7:30-9:30. Next tournament up is the Skins, with about 22-23 sign ups.

 

Old Business: The election is proceeding, according to Vic.

The Club Championship payouts for this year only were voted in retroactively. They are $100 for the overall winner and $75 and $50 for the first 2 finishers in each flight.

 

New Business: Bob Borowitz gave a report on the progress of the renovations. The utility lines are installed. Next up, the forms for the Pro Shop and the Range Shop will be completed. He expects the temporary facilities to be delivered around the 1^st of the year.

Dave Marquez attended the meeting and volunteered to serve on the Board. This was met with unanimous approval. Welcome aboard, Dave!
